“First things first… Selecting a venue.

It’s soo easy to get carried away when you first start wedding planning to get taken in by the biggest and most lavish venues which are merely a wedding conveyor belt… And don’t get us wrong we did consider several of these when we were narrowing our choices… But then we found some truly special venues which offered us a more personal, special or unique opportunity to spend our special day with those nearest and dearest to us.

Above and beyond the rest though we knew as soon as we met Kim & Rylla that Wigfair Hall was our place to be.

Wigfair is a Victorian house (1882), grade two listed building, set in Cefnmeiriadog, Denbighshire – North Wales… Overlooking the beautiful Elwy Valley. It is such a special venue which internally retains its original and unaltered fittings, whilst it’s exterior is presented in a Tudorbethan red Ruabon brick. Infront of the stunning house is a croquet lawn with a panoramic view of the valley which together set the scene for our dream day.

It’s hard to really sum up in short that feeling that ‘just know when’ but after sitting down with Kim & Rylla and taking through the options and understanding their pride and passion for the venue, their care for us and hosting our day and the excitement they showed in just how unique and personal we want our day to be… This really became the easiest planning decision we have made so far.

Home to just a handful of Weddings a year, what we have planned for our day is certainly a first for Wigfair… And we simply cannot wait for the day to come ?
